Space Explorer

Space Explorer

Exploring outer space is a dangerous job but
someone has to do it.

Use a light lead pencil or a coloured one. When the
sketch is finished you can go over the light lines
with a dark pen or pencil. Keep in mind the
picture on the left which is the end result we are after.

Go for it!

1

First draw 5 lines at even intervals.

2

Then we draw the head, a line showing the angle of the body and leg.

3

Now we put lines in the head. The vertical line is the nose line.
The horizontal in the middle is the eyes, below that is the nose and then the mouth.
A tapering rectangle with a curved base is the body. The hips are below that.

4

The arms and legs are next.

5

Now for some details.put in the eyes, nose and mouth, hands and some detail on the body.

6

Our space explorer needs a helmet and air tank.

7

A little more detail…

8

…and we can now finish off the drawing with our pen or dark pencil.

9

To finish off rub out the pencil and add what ever extra bits you want.
A dark sky gives us a nice balance between light and dark in the drawing.
